The customer wanted to automate the application of tape‑converted parts onto specific components within their production process.
They requested proposals for tape‑converted products suitable for automated application, as well as application equipment that could be integrated into their production line.
We collaborate with a specialized equipment manufacturer dedicated to tape bonding systems.
By working closely with the equipment manufacturer in advance, we proposed materials and processing designs optimized for the application equipment.
As a result, the customer implemented the tape application system, and in-line production is now being successfully carried out.
Tape‑converted products can be challenging to handle due to variations not only in materials and shapes but also between production lots.
In many cases, customers procure equipment and materials separately, which can make it difficult to identify the root cause when issues arise.
In contrast, by working in close partnership with the equipment manufacturer, we combine expertise in both tape materials and equipment, enabling us to provide optimal solutions and effective troubleshooting.
