How We Processed a Specialty Tape Requiring Refrigerated Storage

Customer's Challenge

The customer needed a tape to secure automotive sensors. This specialty tape permanently bonds when exposed to high heat. However, the material required refrigerated storage before processing. Since few manufacturers were able to store and process the tape under refrigerated conditions, the customer approached CSTEC to determine whether such processing was possible.

CSTEC's Proposal

When we first received the inquiry, we did not have refrigerated storage facilities for such materials. After careful consideration, however, we installed a large commercial refrigerator to meet the customer's requirements.
The tape material was stored under refrigerated conditions at all times, and the time between removal from storage and processing was carefully controlled. In addition, the finished products were shipped using refrigerated transportation. By implementing these measures, CSTEC successfully met the customer's processing requirements under refrigerated conditions, a challenge we had never encountered before.
As demonstrated by this case, inquiries related to sensor components that contribute to improved automotive safety have been increasing, and the technical requirements continue to become more sophisticated. At CSTEC, we are committed to taking on new challenges and delivering practical solutions to meet demanding technical requirements. If you have a unique processing requirement, please feel free to contact us to discuss your project.
