Proposal and Case Studiesof Tapes and Film
Customer requests the fabrication of a PDMS microfluidic channel with a channel height of 5 mm.
PDMS microfluidic channels are typically fabricated by casting PDMS into a photolithography-based mold. However, the cost and lead time associated with mold fabrication was a significant barrier, especially for prototyping purposes.
To address this, we offer an alternative approach using press processing and laser machining, enabling rapid production from single units to mass manufacturing while minimizing costs. In this case, we successfully fabricated a PDMS microfluidic channel with a height of 5 mm, which is generally considered difficult to achieve using conventional molding techniques.
